The crane is a single girder lower chord vacuum traveling-bracket crane. The task is to clear a flame cutter table and the hanger is a vacuum hanger with adjustable suction pads.
To round off the flame cutter hall, where two forklifts handle the plate, two Voith single girder lower chord traveling-bracket cranes are used with a standard hoist. The traveling-bracket crane is controlled by a frequency convertor as the crane’s rolling resistance is very different depending on whether there is a full or partial load. As a result, the empty crane can accelerate very quickly due to this resistance. A simple hanger with manually adjustable suction pads is used to clear away the different sizes of plate as flexibly as possible.
The supporting roller load of the hall design could be kept to a minimum due to the light, intricate design of the single girder lower chord crane.
