The task for this crane is to store plates of up to 3m x 12m and feed the flame cutter unit. The plates are aligned with the direction of travel of the crane as the flame cutter unit is also aligned this way. In order to be set up as flexibly as possible for short and long plates, two trolleys are aligned on an auxiliary bridge.
 
The distance between the trolleys on the auxiliary bridge can be adjusted. The auxiliary bridge itself is another trolley of a larger crane bridge with a total of 8 running wheels. Both main girders are 10m apart and connected with coupling bars. In addition, an auxiliary hoist is installed at the end of the auxiliary crane bridge with an inclined rope stabiliser and a single magnet for clearing the flame cutter machine.
 
Of course, the magnet crossbeams are stabilised by patented Voith inclined rope stabilisation in the directions of travel of the crane and trolley. The foldable magnets allow plates to be transported both horizontally and vertically.
