The task of installing a crane with a 25t capacity in a hall whose craneway is designed for cranes with a 10t capacity seems to be unrealistic.
 
This problem was solved by a Voith special design with a double girder crane bridge and extremely enlarged trolley wheel gauge including 8 running wheels in conjunction with an intelligent overload circuit that only allows the maximum capacity if the trolleys are in the centre of the crane bridge.
 
The crane is intended for transporting circular materials up to a diameter of 800mm. Individual short pieces and long circular pieces can be handled in a very flexible manner by using two trolleys. The maximum capacity for each trolley is 8.5t. Maximum flexibility is possible thanks to the ability to rotate electro-mechanically through 90 degrees in conjunction with patented Voith load stabilisation.
