The obsolete crane had to be replaced by a new crane fitted with the latest technology. A Voith single beam angle crane is used with a magnet crossbeam lined up with the direction of travel of the crane together with patented Voith inclined rope stabilisation.
 
A magnet hanger is reeved to the hoist with which individual or several sheet pile sections can be handled magnetically or whole bundles of sheet pile sections can be handled with a hook. The single beam angle crane lends itself to this due to the large wheel track. The the crane bridge was set to a specific size for robustness and long life. The electronic components are built in to the main beam and only the brake-resistances are located externally.
 
In order to have the best possible control of transport operations, a cabin that moves with the trolley is provided. The whole winch is enclosed for optimum maintenance, access and durability.
