GUIDE ROLLERS AND BUFFERS
In order to avoid wear of the wheel bearing track edges or to reduce stress on the craneway, four large-scale guide rollers are installed on one side of the crane bridge. The narrow guide is on one side of the craneway so that the opposing driving gear is able to move without opposing constraint forces.
The guide rollers are adjustable on one side via defined, processed surfaces and twisting the guide roller axle. This guarantees that, according to the wear on the guide rollers, the guide rollers can be accurately aligned with the wheel after adjustment. As standard, cellulose or rubber dampers are used as shock absorbers for the crane bridge. Hydraulic buffers are also possible as an option.
Guide roller balancers are provided for the harshest conditions. These allow large lateral forces to be distributed amongst several rollers.
The diameter of the rollers is mostly limited to the geometry of the craneway.
