6/6 INCLINED ROPE STABILISATION
It is possible to stabilise the load on a crossbeam by means of a well thought out inclined rope system. The cross beam follows the movement of the crane as well as the trolley without swinging at all. The twisting of the crossbeam with any rotation device is effectively prevented. This is the simplest and most effective component on the market and has been patented by Voith.
6 lifting ropes are wound onto one drum whereby the rope guide is set out in such a way that the rope deflection is less than 3 degrees.
Furthermore, no more than one additional guide for the rope and no flexing were considered. In this way a very low amount of wear to the rope is guaranteed. Therefore it is not uncommon to have rope lifespans of more than 3 years with FEM group 3m operating in two shifts. Many competitors are envious of our system.
